Trip to Utah and Watching Jessie Cheer

This Weekend Megan and Diane flew over to Utah to Visit Grandma and Grandpa Theobald. We flew on Frontier and got to fly on the Bear Plane. Megan was excited and took a picture.

The Captain took this picture, she was down walking around the plane a worker took Megans camera out on the runway to get a picture so the Captain took it for her.
We spent some time in Salt Lake at the Church History Museum and then headed up to Provo to watch BYU play University of Utah in Womens Volleyball. It was sure fun to watch her Cheer at the game. The only bad part was BYU got swept. After the game the University of Utah guys were sweeping the exit, they thought they were funny. My niece Jessica Fox is a Cheerleader for BYU and was cheering at the game.

Here is a picture of Mom and Dad and Diane getting ready the game.

Here are a few pictures of Jessica. Jessica is behind the Cougar

Here are a couple of videos of Jessica. It was sure fun to watch her Cheer at the game. The only bad part was BYU got swept. The University of Utah guys were sweeping the entrance after the game. They thought they were funny.

Greeley Marching Band Invitational

On Saturday the Girls and I attended the Greeley Marching Band Invitational. It started at 10:00. It was a really cold drizzly day. We took Hot Chocolate to keep us warm. Luckily they had the morning bands march and gave out awards and then had the afternoon bands march and gave out more awards. So we were on our way home by 12:30. The band got a Superior Rating. Here are some pictures of us and Connie.

Connie warming up.

Amanda, Diane, Smokey, Debbie and Debbies Mom are behind us. Megan took the picture. Do we look cold enough.

Connie twirling her flag. She is the girl just off the 50 yard line with her back to the picture.

Now she is on the other side of the field just right of the 40

Back to the other side and she is the one closest to the out of bounds line. They havn't learned the flag part for this yet.

We have sure had fun watching Connie march. She has at least one more competition and a couple of football games to perform at. After 10 years of Marching Band Competitions it is about to end. I will really miss watching the kids practice and compete.

Friendship Cup Marching Competition

On Saturday October 4th Diane and Amanda attended the Friendship Cup Marching Invitational. It was at our home staduim. We were there to watch Connie march with Thornton High School. The competition started at 10:00 and ended at 3:45. Then if you were lucky enough to make the top 12 bands it started again at 6:00 to 9:45. Thornton High School was not that lucky but Diane and Amanda returned that evening to watch the bands march again. We were really there to watch the Navy and Airforce Drum and Bugle Corps compete for the coveted trophy. Navy must have won it last time, because they are the ones who brought it in. Here are a few pictures of the day. Next Saturday we are heading to Greely for another competition and I will post a video of Connie marching. Thornton High School. Connie is in the first line from the center, 4th person back. She marches with the Color Guard and really enjoys twirling her flag.
